Kerouac's breathless novel is almost the literary description of that emotion, as it highlights the story of Sal Paradise, a young man craving for the lushes and jazzes and poetries of life, as he road-trips across America with people who have characters that glitter like mountains of snow; burn like yellow roman candles.
